So, you want to get unbanned from Napster? I won't keep you waiting...

Step One:
Uninstall Beta 6. Completely. You can do this by selecting "Remove Napster v2.0 BETA 6" from the Napster program group, or remove it via Add/Remove Programs in the Conmtrol Panel. Some people have also found it necessary to delete the remaining napster directory, as well (usually C:\Program Files\Napster).

Step Two:
If you are running Windows 95 or 98, download Apothos's Napster Fix. Be sure to take a look at the readme file. Windows 98SE users may have some problems with the fix, although I didn't myself. Windows 2000 users: have a look at the readme to get your fix.

Step Three:
Run the INF script that is in the fixnapster3.zip file. Do this by right-clicking on it and clicking "install." (Screenshot) This file will edit your registry and delete any traces of Napster's recording that you are a bad bad person. ;-) You may also need to do a registry search and delete other references to Napster as well.

Step Four:
Run Napster. You will be prompted to register as a new user. Create a new username/password, and then complete/skip the rest of the registration.

If you find that the script does not work, and you are handy with regedit or another registry editor, search through the registry and delete occurrences of the following keys:

	A1AD8C13-1383-5343-DCC38E43FF0AAE
	CAD8C813-1F34-1B3E-00CEAE43FF0AAD
	

Step Five:
Enjoy! Now remember, only share non-studio Metallica music. :-) And don't forget to Pay Lar$, because Napster Bad!. Also, check out this little tidbit of double-standardization. Pfffttttt.
